The Miss World 2016 beauty contest is inching towards its final moments. Out of 117 contestants, only five participants made it to the semi-finalists list.

After three weeks of participating in several challenge events, only 10 contestants reached a step closer to the Miss World 2016 crown. On Sunday, the top five contestants of the Miss World 2016 beauty pageant were announced and in no particular order they are Miss Kenya, Miss Philippines, Miss Dominican Republic, Miss Puerto Rico and Miss Philippines. 

Earlier, the hosts Megan Young and Jason Cook revealed the top 10 semi-finalists and they are Miss Philippines Catriona Gray Miss Indonesia Natasha Mannuela, Miss Belgium Lenty Frans, Miss Brazil Beatrice Beserra Da Fontoura, Miss Kenya Evelyn Njambi Thungu, Miss United States Audra Mari, Miss China PR Jing Kong , Miss Dominican Republic Yaritza Miguelina Reyes Ramírez, Miss Puerto Rico Stephanie Del Valle and Miss Korea Hyun Wang.

Miss India Priyadarshini Chatterjee fails to make it to the top 10 list, while Miss Mongolia Bayartsetseg Altangerel is the winner of People's Choice award.

Soon only one out of these five contestants will win the Miss World 2016 crown. 

These contestants were selected based on their performances in challenge events like Sports and Fitness, Multimedia, Talent competition and Beauty With a Purpose.

The 66th edition of the Miss World beauty contest is being held live at The Theater at MGM National Harbor in Washington, US. The winner of the Miss World 2016 will be crowned by the reigning Miss World Mireia Lalaguna‎ from Spain.
