The preliminary competition of the 63rd edition of the Miss Universe beauty pageant revealed the top five contestants of National Costume round.
The preliminary competition was held on 21 January (22 January in India) in Miami and 88 contestants from different countries showcased their national costume.
The organisers of the beauty pageant revealed the top five contestants and they are Miss Universe India, Miss Universe Argentina, Miss Universe Indonesia, Miss Universe Canada and Miss Universe Germany.
Azucena Cierco, President of Trump Models Corinne Nicolas, TV producer Jeneine Doucette-White, Jimmii Nguyen, TV host Lloyd Boston, former Miss Universe Michelle McLean and Tyler Tixier were the judges of the preliminary competition.
According to the official Facebook page of Miss Universe, viewers can vote for their favourite contestant to see them in the final round.
Meanwhile, India's contestant Noyonita Lodh was selected as the top five finalists from the National Costume round. Her costume was designed by designer Neeta Lulla.
"My beautiful national costume ! This attire depicts the true indian woman," Lodh posted on her Facebook page.
