Maruti Suzuki launched one of the most awaited vehicles of the year, the Vitara Brezza compact SUV, for a starting price of Rs 6.99 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The company also started booking for the compact SUV on Tuesday, March 8.
The SUV will be available in LDi, LDi (O), VDi, VDi (O), ZDi, ZDi+ and ZDi+ dual tone trims with six colour combinations. The top-spec ZDi+ will be additionally sold in three dual tone finishes. The compact SUV is available only with a diesel engine. The 200 DDis 1248cc diesel engine develops 88.5bhp at 4,000rpm and 200Nm of torque at 1,750rpm, mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. The Vitara Brezza also boasts of fuel efficiency of 24.3 kmpl, which is the highest in the SUV segment.
On the exterior, the Vitara Brezza has an upright stance, which is spot on for SUVs. The squared wheel arches with large tyres, the claddings and skid plate garnishes accentuate the sporty look of the SUV. On the rear, the Vitara Brezza gets split tail-lights with LEDs.
On the features front, the Vitara Brezza comes with integrated turn-indicators at electrically foldable ORVMs, a reverse parking camera, Smartplay infotainment system, cooled glover box, cruise control, projector headlamps and a in-built navigation depending upon the model.
While the driver airbag is a standard on all variants, front passenger airbag and ABS with EBD is offered as an option from base variant onwards. The Vitara Brezza measures 3,995mm in length, 1,790mm in width, 1,640mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,500mm. It comes with 198mm ground clearance and 328-litres of boot capacity.
