Maruti Suzuki released a new teaser video of the upcoming compact SUV scheduled for to be unveiled at the Auto Expo 2016. The teaser video fully reveals the front part of the Vitara Brezza SUV and also throws some light on the side and rear profile of the SUV.

The highlight of the front part of the SUV is the grille section sporting a thick chrome strip. The design of the grille section is inspired from the iV-4 SUV concept model previewed at the 65th Frankfurt Motor Show in 2013. The grille is flanked by projector head lamps unit that also features DRLs inside the cluster. The turn indicators are not a part of the head lamp unit and are positioned on either sides of the front bumper above the round fog lamps. A skid plate can be seen below the radiator grille which stresses on the off-road prowess of Vitara Brezza.

The teaser video additionally shows ORVM with integrated turn indicators in contrasting colour, five twin-spoke alloy wheels, contrasting roof colour and Vitara Brezza name embossed on the chrome strip above the rear number plate. The compact SUV also comes with square wheel arches, short overhangs, high ground clearance and upright hood. A prominent shoulder line and rooflines that slope down towards the rear give Vitara Brezza a unique design.

The Vitara Brezza is expected to be feature rich with multi-functioning steering wheel, SmartPlay touchscreen entertainment system, automatic climate control, key-less entry, push start/stop button and touchscreen infotainment system. The safety will be taken care of by airbags and anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD).

The first vehicle designed and engineered completely by the R&D team in India, led by Chief Engineer CV Raman, the Vitara Brezza is expected with 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine and 1.3-litre Fiat sourced diesel engine, both of which are used in many Maruti Suzuki cars. The diesel unit with SHVS micro-hybrid technology is also widely rumoured. The Vitara Brezza is likely to be priced in the range of Rs 5.5 lakh to Rs 8.2 lakh.
