It has been reported that Mariah Carey was ordered out of the house she was sharing with billionaire James Packer, but is staying put and demanding that he buy her an LA mansion as part of a settlement.

TMZ reported that its sources say Carey doesn't blame the breakup on James, she blames it on former Scientology bigwig Tommy Davis, who worked closely with Tom Cruise until Davis broke from the organisation.

Mariah believes Davis has had an extreme influence on Packer, whom they say has not been himself since Davis got in his ear.

Sources quoted by TMZ, believe Davis poisoned the relationship, complaining to Packer he was spending an exorbitant amount on lavish gifts for her.

Other sources tell the showbiz website, Packer brought Davis in partially to help curb wasteful spending, and he immediately ID'd gifts to Mariah as prime examples.

It is believed that Davis played a similar senior role as chief of staff for Tom Barrack's private equity firm Colony Capital. This situation became a very contentious thing between Davis and Mariah's manager Stella who oversaw Mariah's spending.

TMZ earlier reported that Mariah called it a day after an alleged incident on a yacht in Greece between Packer and Carey's assistant.

Carey was earlier seen with her backup dancer Bryan Tanaka without her engagement ring in place. They were joined by Carey's friends and manager Stella Bulochnikov. The party took place at a celebrity hot spot on the night of October 28, reports aceshowbiz.com.

Carey replaced her engagement band from Packer with her trademark butterfly ring. She donned an all-black outfit consisting of a cleavage-baring top paired with mini skirt, fishnet tights and peep-toe pumps.
