On a one day visit to Manipur, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi arrived in Imphal Saturday.
The Prime Minister and the UPA chairperson were accompanied by Union Law Minister Salman Khurshid, Union Water Resources Minister Vinsen Joshi, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office V Narayanswamy.
The VVIPs were received at the Imphal airport by Governor Gurbachan Jagat, Chief Minister O Ibobi Singh, his cabinet colleagues and high officials.
The Prime Minister and Sonia's programs in the state include inauguration of the new Legislative Assembly building.
