Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala who is undergoing treatment for cancer in New York is putting up a brave fight as evident from the pictures that she uploaded on her Twitter account.
In one of the pictures uploaded on the microblogging site, the actress wore a turban to cover her tonsured look which was a result of her chemotherapy sessions.
While her treatment is in progress in New York, Manisha is also planning to make a comeback in films. Reports said that the actress will first face camera after her return to Mumbai in an unfinished Malayalam film which is being directed by National Award-winning filmmaker, Rajendra Lenin.
Confirming the report, Manisha's manager Subrata Ghosh said, "She has a couple of days' work left for Lenin's film. She has asked me to allot her dates to him first. She said she wants to resume shooting as soon as she gets a go-ahead from her doctors."
Manisha's doctors have reportedly advised her to resume work once her treatment is over. The actress is due for two more chemotherapy sessions.
"She still has to undergo two more cycles of chemotherapy but her recovery has been amazing. She looks mint fresh, and is constantly talking about resuming work. She has asked me to allot her dates as fast as possible to all the projects that got held up due to her illness," said Ghosh.
Manisha had gone to New York for surgery after being diagnosed with ovarian cancer in December. She is is now is her last phase of treatment.
Recently, the actress took to social networking sites to express her disappointment about her friends not inquiring about her health, despite knowing the fact that she was recuperating from surgery.
