The much-awaited Mani Ratnam movie "Ok Kanmani" starring Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen in the lead is getting ready for release. Sources close to the movie said the makers are busy with post production work and the movie is likely to hit theatres by April.
They have already released the title poster of the movie and the latest we hear is that the first look motion poster will be released on Valentine's Day, 14 February.
"The movie is shaping up well and everyone involved with the movie is impressed with way 'Ok Kanmani' has come out. 'Madras Talkies' have already released the title poster of the upcoming movie and the next one will be the motion poster of the film which will be released on Valentine's Day," a source close to the film's unit told IB Times, India.
"Okay Kanmani" is reportedly a low--budget movie and said to be a romantic entertainer along the lines of Ratnam's hit film "Alaipayuthey" that featured Madhavan and Shalini.
The movie will also see cinematographer PC Sreeram working with Mani Ratnam after a long gap; their last film was "Alaipayuthey" in 2000.
The movie's star cast includes Prakash Raj and Kaniha. Like all other Mani Rathnam movies, not much is known about this flick also; some reports claim it is bilingual. There is no confirmation regarding this from credible sources.
AR Rahman has done the music of this film and has also confirmed that his son Ameen will croon a song for this flick.
Meanwhile, Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen are also awaiting the release of their Malayalam movie "100 Days of Love" directed by debutant Jenuse Mohammed, son of ace film maker Kamal.
This Valentine's Day has turned more special for the team as they are awaiting the second poster release of this romcom entertainer on the day.
'Ok Kanmani' also has Prakash Raj and Kaniha in pivotal roles and the movie is produced by Mani Ratnam's Madras Talkies.
