Mammootty, who is basking in the success of his latest outing "Pathemari" will be next seen in a film, written and directed by AK Sajan of "Red Chillies" fame.

The upcoming Mammootty - Nayantara starrer has been titled "Puthiya Niyamam" and the megastar shared the first look of the film through his Facebook page on Tuesday, 27 October.

Earlier, the makers had named the film as "Solomonte Koodaram". 

While Mammootty will be seen in the role of Advocate Louis Pothen, Nayantara's character name is Vasuki in the upcoming film.

A few days before, the megastar had shared a photo on his Facebook page introducing the characters played by the lead actors.

Mammootty will reportedly be seen as a lawyer with communist leanings and Nayantara is said to portray a never-seen-before character in "Puthiya Niyamam". The film revolves around the couple, who belong to different religions.

Meanwhile, the duo was last seen together in the 2014 film "Bhaskar The Rascal" and have also acted together in "Rappakal" and "Thaskaraveeran".

The upcoming film also has Rachana Narayanankutty, Vinay Fortt, and Jayaraj Warrier in pivotal roles.

"Puthiya Niyamam" will be produced by P Venugopal and Geo Abraham. While the music is composed by Vinu Thomas, the lyrics are penned by Rafeeq Ahamed.
