The new Scorpio of popular UV maker Mahindra first entered the market last year, but looks like the model has already received some updates in the country.
If the recent report of Car Dekho is to be believed, Mahindra has reduced the black cladding of the new Scorpio's taillight after the company received feedback from the customers. Now, the taillight of the new Scorpio is also painted in the body colour of the model and the black cladding is limited only to the registration plate part. Beyond this, all other features and styling of Scorpio remain just as the same including the engine specifications.
The base variant of the new Scorpio is powered by the 2.5-liter 4 cylinder m2DiCr diesel engine, which can churn out power of 75bhp @3,200rpm and a peak torque of 195Nm @1,400-2,200rpm, coupled to 5 speed manual transmissions, while other variants S4, S6, S6+, S8 and S10 gets the power from 2.2 litre mHawk engine that can churn out 120bhp @4,000rpm and 280nm @1,800 to 2,800rpm.
The model gets features like LED daytime running lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights, and automatic climate control.
Recently, Mahindra added S4+ variant in Scorpio line-up with additional safety features like dual airbags, anti-lock braking system (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution system (EBD), panic brake indication and seat-belt reminder.
