The film's tunes are composed by Thaman and it is his 50th project as music director. "Aagadu" will be also be Thaman's third project with Mahesh, after "Dookudu" and "Businessman".

The action entertainer is one of most eagerly-anticipated films of 2014. The film will have Mahesh appearing as a cop, while Tamanaah plays a village girl who owns a sweet shop. Shruti Haasan will feature in an item song along with Mahesh. The film also has Sonu Sood, Rajendra Prasad, Nadhiya, Nassar and Brahmanandam in supporting roles.

"Aagadu" shoot is progressing well and most of the film's talkie portions have reportedly been completed. The film's team is now all set to shoot a song with the lead pair in exotic locations, reported The Times of India.

Once the shooting is complete, Mahesh will begin his dubbing work. The film's post-production work is also expected to be completed soon.

There is huge buzz surrounding "Aagadu", thanks to the film's teasers. The first look teaser was released in May and fetched more than 24 lakh hits. The second teaser, which was released for Mahesh's birthday last week, has also received a grand response from fans. The video has clocked more than 7 lakh views and is all set to hit the 10-lakh mark soon.

"Aagadu" is slated to hit the screens on 26 September. The film is expected to have a big solo release with no clashes from other biggies. However, a week after its release, the Mahesh starrer is likely to lock horns with Ram Charan's "Govindudu Andarivadele". The family drama is gearing up for Dussehra release.
