Mahesh Babu-Koratala Siva's new film was launched at Ramanaidu Studios, Hyderabad, on Monday (11 August) morning.

The film's pooja was held in the presence of chief guests V.V. Vinayak, K. Raghavendra Rao and M. Syam Prasad Reddy. Mahesh skipped the film's launch event, but his wife Namrata was present for the occasion.

Directed by Koratala Siva, the untitled film will have Shruti Haasan playing the female lead opposite Mahesh for the first time. The other cast members include Jagapathi Babu, Rajendra Prasad, Brahmanandam, Sampath and Mukesh Rishi.

Mahesh is currently busy with his upcoming film "Aagadu", which is set to hit screens on 26 September. The film, directed by Sreenu Vaitla, is one of the most-awaited action entertainers of the year. The second-time collaboration of Mahesh and Vaitla after "Dookudu" success has raised huge expectations from the project.

The film's first look teaser has received amazing response from fans and has fetched over 24 lakh hits. Recently, the makers of "Aagadu" released a new teaser on the special occasion of Mahesh's birthday. The small teaser has also turned out to be a hit among fans.

The film's shooting is expected to be wrapped soon, after which the post-production work will commence. Mahesh is likely to shift his focus on the Koratala Siva project after completing his part for "Aagadu."

On the other hand, Haasan is busy with her Tamil project titled "Poojai." The film, starring Vishal in the lead role, is touted to be a complete action entertainer. Once the pretty actress is done with her portions for "Poojai," she is expected to begin her work for Koratala Siva's film.

Its shooting is expected to commence in September and set to be completed in one long schedule. The big-budget entertainer will be produced by Mythri Movies. Initially, UTV Motion Pictures had announced that they will produce the film. But it did not materialise for some reasons and now Mythri Movies has taken up the project.

The untitled film will have its music composed by Devi Sri Prasad. The film's camerawork will be handled by Madhie, while editing will be done by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.
