Results for the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) Class 12 examination 2016 have been declared on Wednesday.

Students who appeared for the Maharashtra state board exam can check their results by visiting the website -- mahresult.nic.in. The MSBSHSE examinations were held in July 2016.

Candidates can follow these steps to check their results easily:

1. Visit the official website of the state board: mahresult.nic.in

2. Click on MSBSHSE HSC results 2016

3. Feed in the necessary information, like your name and roll number

4. Click on the Submit button

5. The result will be displayed on the screen

Candidates can take a printout of the results for future use. 

Girls have outperformed boys by gaining a pass percentage of 31.54, while boys scored a pass percentage of 25.33. A total of 1,23,174 candidates registered for the Maharashtra board examination and at least 1,21,799 candidates appeared for it. 

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education conducts the HSC and SSC Examinations in the state through its nine divisional boards, which are located at Pune, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Nasik, Kolhapur, Amravati, Latur, Nagpur and Ratnagiri.

The MSBSHSE is an autonomous body established under the provisions of the Maharashtra Act No. 41 of 1965.
