South Korean mobile phone maker LG Electronics is reportedly working on the successor of Optimus G, a large and powerful quad-core smartphone which formed the basic groundwork for the Nexus 4 smartphone. A new image of the purported smatphone with a thin bezel design had surfaced online generating alot of buzz.

The image which appeared online came was captioned: "Thin-bezeled LG, redux." Technology buffs opined that if the leaked image is Optimus G2, the next generation Nexus smartphone is likely to bear the same design with a few tweaks. 

A couple of days ago, twitter sensation @evleaks had released an image of a device alleged to be LG Optimus G2. The latest picture shares similarities with the earlier leaked picture, giving hint that the rumoured smartphone is in the company's pipeline. According to rumours, LG Optimus G2 is expected to come with a 5-inch Full HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and 4G LTE support. The other stipulated features of the phone include 2GB of RAM and a 13-mega pixel rear camera. According to AnTuTu benchmarks, the phone is likely to come in three variants.

LG is yet to make any announcement of its upcoming smartphones. However, rumours suggest an early arrival of LG Optimus G2. Speculations of LG Nexus 5 are also doing rounds. According to reports, the successor of Google Nexus 4 is rumoured to arrive with a 5.2-inch OLED display with 1920 X 1080 resolution, 16-megapixel rear camera with 4K video recording at 30FPS, 1080p video recording at 60FPS, Real Time HDR and HDR video recording, optical image stabilization and BSI 2.0.
