Letv will be brining Helio X10-powered affordable Le Superphone to India. The Chinese Internet tech company is hosting an event on 20 January, wherein it plans to launch Le Max and Le 1s at an affordable price, reports suggest.

Letv's plans for new smartphone release have been doing the rounds for quite some time now. The LeMax Superphone and Le 1s have already been launched in China, giving insight on the specifications before the official release. The pricing and availability details, however, are still under wraps, and will be revealed at the upcoming launch event.

Le 1s is the company's entry level variant in India, which was launched in China in October last year for CNY 1,099 (Rs 11,250 approx). The handset is powered by MediaTek's Helio X10 processor and has 3GB RAM. The 5.5-inch display has a screen resolution of 1080x1920 pixels and sports a 13MP primary camera with LED flash, PDAF and a 5MP front-snapper. Letv Le 1s features a 3,000mAh battery yet it only measures 7.5mm. The affordable smartphone has dual SIM slots, 32GB storage and 4G LTE support.

Letv is also expected to launch a higher-end Le Max smartphone in India on 20 January, BGR reported. The handset boasts 6.33-inch Quad-HD display, metal body and ultra-slim bezels measuring just 0.8mm. It is powered by the 64-bit 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The premium smartphone has a 21MP primary camera with OIS, dual LED flash and f/2.0 aperture, and a 4-UltraPixel front camera. Le Max has a 3,400mAh battery and was released in China in April last year.

Both smartphones have USB Type-C ports and fingerprint scanners at the back.
