Link will not be able to sustain with just three hearts of health on these long journey in "Breath of the Wild." He will have to hunt for items that might boost his health. He will find apples on trees and mushrooms near the mountains, he can also hunt deer and rodents in the country side. These items can also be roasted to create dishes with different effects.

Link is seen using stealth to take on enemies. He will be able to crouch and surprise enemies with sudden attack. He is also able to craft special arrows as the protagonist is able to mine ore, chop trees and use magical devices.

His primary weapons are sword, shield and bow.

He is also able to steal weapons from enemies and turn it against them. The game will also have weapons that can break easily and players will have to be on the guard with such weapons.

New mechanics

Link is now not only able to run and open treasure chests but he is also able to leap across gaps, can make jumps, and is able to sprint without the need of any special boots. He is also able to climb up or climb down from any surface in the game, including castles, mountains and more.

It was also noted that the addition of the jumping mechanics was the first for 3D Zelda games.

Day and night cycle

The game will feature a day-night cycle and hot and cold environment.

The game will feature Shrines of Trials that includes puzzles players need to solve and traps that have to be avoided and other hidden items that need to be discovered in these dungeons.

Voice Acting

The game features voice acting in the trailer that many have reported. The existence of such a feature changes a lot of things about the series. There seems to be a mixed reaction among fans over the existence of voice acting in the game. Link, many feel, has no requirement to speak.

The voice that is heard is from Zelda who is seen asking Link to wake up from his long slumber.
