Ritiesh Deshmukh's Marathi film "Lai Bhaari" is performing well in Maharashtra.

The film opened to rave reviews and received ₹3.10 crore on the first day in Maharashtra. The film witnessed some growth on Saturday and earned ₹3.60 crore. The film's two-day collections stand at ₹6.70 crore in the state, according to film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

"Lai Bhaari" marks Riteish's debut in Marathi cinema. The actor appears in a double role in the commercial potboiler, directed by Nishikant Kamat. The film has been faring well in multiplexes as well as in single screens.

Despite the release of Varun Dhawan's "Humpty Sharm Ki Dulhania", "Lai Bhaari" is doing good business at the Maharashtra box office. The film has created history in Marathi cinema by earning more than ₹3 crore on opening day. It is expected to perform well on Sunday and rake in good collections in its first weekend.

Riteish Deshmukh is on a roll with back-to-back successful films. "Lai Bhaari" is the actor's third release of the year after "Humshakals" and "Ek Villain."

The actor donned the villain's role and his performance won accolades from the critics as well as from the audience. The actor's first Marathi film "Lai Bhaari" is also doing good business at the box office. The film is likely to dominate the box office in the coming days until new flicks hit the screens.

The action drama is co-produced by Jeetendra Thackeray, Ameya Khopkar and Genelia Deshmukh. The film has Radhika Apte, Tanvi Azmi and Sharad Kelkar in pivotal roles, while bollywood star Salman Khan makes a cameo appearance.
