About 70 people, mostly women and children, were killed in a massive explosion in Lahore, Pakistan, March 27. Nearly 300 people were injured when a suicide bomb ripped through the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park.
According to reports, the death toll may rise as many of the injured are in critical condition. Lahore is Pakistan's largest and wealthiest province and the political power base of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media from the PMO India handle to express his opinion on the blast. "Heard about the blast in Lahore. I strongly condemn it. My condolences to families of the deceased & prayers with the injured: PM," he tweeted.
In fact, several Bollywood celebs like Priyanka Chopra, Hrithik Roshan, Sidharth Malhotra, Gauahar Khan, Dia Mirza, Karan Johar, Nimrat Kaur, Preity Zinta and Pakistani actor Fawad Khan have offered condolences on social media.
