Karan Johar's Koffee With Karan 5 is just three episodes old and viewers have already witnessed some popular and unique combinations of Bollywood celebrities making an appearance. From Shah Rukh Khan-Alia Bhatt and Akshay Kumar-Twinkle Khanna to Varun Dhawan-Arjun Kapoor, the pairing of star guests provided a fresh twist to the chat show this season.

Koffee With Karan also made news recently when it was reported that Katrina Kaif, who is looking forward to be a part of the show, didn't have a partner to share the couch with. The filmmaker and host, who obviously doesn't want her to come alone, was said to have approached Salman Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur and Sidharth Malhotra to appear with her.

However, the latest buzz is that Katrina has refused to share the couch with co-stars from her flop movies. So if she has her way, Aditya and Sidharth will not be seen with Katrina on Koffee With Karan 5. Katrina is apparently focusing on fixing her career and is now keen on working only with the big names of the industry. She is willing to share the couch with Salman, who seems to have given his nod.

"Karan Johar wanted to bring Katrina and Aditya together. But Katrina preferred Salman instead, with whom she has become close again after her break up. When Salman agreed to the idea, Karan quickly got on board too," a source told Asian Age.

With Salman and Katrina coming together on the chat show and Karan throwing some witty questions at them, it would be an interesting episode to watch. Salman and Katrina were in a long-term relationship before the actress started dating Ranbir Kapoor. And they have become close again post her breakup with Ranbir. The two have also teamed up for an upcoming film, Tiger Zinda Hai.

Meanwhile, the ongoing season of Koffee With Karan will see another interesting combination –Deepika Padukone's ex-beau, Ranbir Kapoor, and current boyfriend, Ranveer Singh – sharing the couch in one of the upcoming episodes.
