Marriage hasn't changed Kanye West much. On Tuesday night, West bragged about his wedding to Kim Kardashian West and said he cannot be with someone who is not No.1 in their respective fields.
This might be why the new couple was upset when famed photographer Annie Leibovitz pulled out before the wedding, and this caused Kardashian and West to work on their first kiss picture for four days before it could be uploaded on Instagram.
"I was like, 'I still want my wedding photos to look like Annie Leibovitz's photos,"' West said.
"Now, can you imagine telling someone who just wants to Instagram a photo, the No. 1 person on Instagram, that we need to work on the color of the flowered wall?" West said, according to Ad Week. "But the fact that the No. 1 most liked photo has this certain aesthetic on it was a win for what the mission is — of raising the palette."
The photo in question currently has almost 2.3 million likes on Instagram, making it one of the most-liked posts in the photo-sharing app's history.
In the speech entitled "Technology, Culture, and Consumer Adoption" at the Cannes Lions festival on Tuesday, West also spoke about getting turned on by Kardashian, as according to him, she is the best. He had previously called Kardashian the most beautiful woman in all of human existence.
"I have to work with the No. 1," he said, adding that he likes Apple over Samsung because the former brand is the best. "I can't work with anyone but Jay Z, because he's No. 1. I can't be with any girl but Kim, because that's the girl whose pictures I look at the most and get turned on by. I'm not going to represent any company but Louis Vuitton, because that's No. 1."
West also spoke about how the late Steve Jobs has been a big influence and he wants to emulate what Jobs did in the technology industry in music and fashion. This way, West believes he will be able to elevate the taste level of a generation.
And for people who think West is wrong, he has some choice words.
"If people are saying you're wrong, it's probably a good sign you're genius … Rome wasn't built in a day; the Internet is our new Rome. Empower the best content creators or f**k you!"
