Among nearly 100 Malayalam films released this year, less than 30 films made a mark at the Kerala box office. However, October has been a lucky month for the entertainment industry in the South Indian state as some new releases did roaring business at the box office.

Prithviraj Sukumaran's "Ennu Ninte Moideen", Mammootty's "Pathemari", multi-starrer "Amar Akbar Anthony" (AAA) and "Lord Livingstone 7000 Kandi" (LL7K) have emerged at the top with amazing collection.

While "AAA" has grossed almost Rs 5.10 crore in three days, "Pathemari" has reportedly collected more than Rs 3.62 crore within seven days.

"#AmarAkbarAnthony (Mal) is a super hit, grossed an amazing Rs 5.10 Cr from Kerala (via Thameens) & Rs 52 lakhs Rest of India) via #FoxStar," tweeted trade analyst Sreedhar Pillai.

'Pathemari' Review

"LL7K" has reportedly collected Rs 1.22 crore in two days and Prithviraj's "Ennu Ninte Moideen" has grossed approximately Rs 27.2 crore within a month of its theatrical run.

'LL7K' review

The back-to-back success of Prithviraj's two films has made him the ruler of the Kerala box office in recent times. "Ennu Ninte Moideen" has become the first solo blockbuster of the actor in 13 years of his career as an actor.

Meanwhile, it has to be noted that despite the release of "Amar Akbar Anthony" and "LL7K", Mammootty starrer "Pathemari" is still screening with housefull shows in different theatres in Kerala.
