If the latest reports are to be believed, Kamal Haasan's "Uttama Villain" might be clashing with Sivakarthikeyan's "Taana" and Hrithik Roshan's "Bang Bang" in October.

"Uttama Villain" makers are reportedly looking to release the film for Gandhi Jayanthi for 2 October. This will ensure the film gets a four-day-long weekend. The comedy drama, directed by Ramesh Aravind, is all set to be completed soon after which the post-production work will commence.

Kamal Haasan appears in a dual role in the film, which also boasts of an ensemble cast including Jayaram, Urvasi, Pooja Kumar, Andrea Jeremiah, Parvathy, K Balachander, K Vishwanath, Nassar and MS Bhaskar. The film's music is scored by Ghibran, who has also worked on the soundtracks of "Vishwaroopam 2."

Earlier there were reports claiming that the film will be hitting screens in September, but now latest news is that the film is likely to be released on 2 October.

The Kamal starrer is expected to clash with Sivakarthikeyan's "Taana", which is also likely to be released during the four-day weekend in October.

Directed by Durai Senthil Kumar, "Taana" has Sivakarthikeyan and Sridivya teaming up once again post the success of 2013-hit film "Varuthapadatha Vaalibar Sangam." The movie also has Prabhu, Vidyulekha Raman and Imman Annachi in supporting roles. The film's shooting is reportedly in the final stages and is expected to be ready by September.

Dhanush, who is producing "Taana" under his Wunderbar Films banner, is interested in releasing the film in October, according to reports. If it turns out to be true, then Kamal Haasan and Sivakarthikeyan will be locking horns for the first at the box office.

Interestingly, one more biggie is confirmed to release on 2 October. Hrithik Roshan-Katrina Kaif's Hindi film "Bang Bang", which will also be released in Tamil and Telugu, is confirmed to hit theatres on 2 October.

Hrithik has good following in South and his past releases including "Krrish 3" and "Dhoom 2" have performed well at the box office. The actor might give tough competition to "Uttama Villain" and "Taana", if the films are released around the same time.
