It is an exciting time for Rajinikanth fans as they eagerly wait for the teaser release of his next film "Kabali." A video clip of the movie will be released on May 1 and the news has been confirmed by producer Kalaippuli S Thanu on Twitter.

The fans have already started sharing their excitement over the teaser release on Twitter. They also plan to welcome the video clip by trending topics related to "Kabali" and Rajinikanth with multiple hashtags on the social media site. All they hope is that the teaser lives up to their expectations.

Understandably, the video will give a glimpse at Rajinikanth's character in the Tamil movie and the teaser would not be complete without powerful lines mouthed by the superstar. To make it more special, the "Kabali" team might add a surprise element in the final part of the clip.

"Kabali" is an action entertainer, in which Rajinikanth plays the title role of an ageing don. The superstar's character is loosely inspired by a real-life mafia. But it is not a run-of-the-mill gangster film as the narrative is said to be different from all Rajini's previous films.

Radhika Apte plays Rajinikanth's wife, while Dhansika reportedly enacts the role of his daughter in "Kabali." Dinesh Ravi, Kalaiyarasan, Kishore, John Vijay and others are in the cast. The film has Santhosh Narayanan's music, G Murali's cinematography and Praveen KL's editing.

Pa Ranjith-directorial movie "Kabali" will be simultaneously released in Telugu. It is likely to be dubbed in Hindi.

Rajinikanth's "2.0" aka "Endhiran 2" in progress
On the other hand, Rajinikanth's "2.0" is progressing at a brisk pace. The makers want to release the movie next year and the things have gone as per their plans so far. It is a mega-budget film directed by Shankar and produced by Lyca Productions. Amy Jackson and Akshay Kumar are in the important roles in the flick, which is simultaneously shot in Telugu and Hindi languages.
