Jyo Achyutananda has continued its dream run at the US box office in its second week. The movie has become the 13th biggest money spinner beating the record of Babu Bangaram.
Jyo Achyutananda opened to good response and made decent business in North America on the following days. The movie collected $349,236 in its opening weekend and $62,414 on weekdays. The film grossed $411,650 at the US box office in its opening week and it became the highest grossing film in the career of Nara Rohit and Naga Shourya, who have played the lead roles.
The Nara Rohit and Naga Shourya-starrer clashed with few new Indian releases, but strong word of mouth helped it remain rock-steady at the ticket counters in its second Friday. Jyo Achyutananda showed decent growth on Saturday and surpassed the half-million-dollar mark in the country in nine days.
Jyo Achyutananda has collected $111,590 at the US box office on its second Friday and Saturday and its Sunday numbers are yet to be revealed by its makers. Its nine-day US gross total has reached $523,240 (Rs 3.51 crore). Taran Adarsh tweeted: "Telugu film #JyoAchyuthananda crosses half-million in USA... Wk 2: Fri $ 39,243, Sat $ 72,347.
