The home-grown mobile manufacturer, Josh Mobiles has rolled out a new Android smartphone dubbed Fortune HD in India with a price tag of  ₹11,999.

The handset sports 5.3-inch display with a resolution of 540x960 pixels and is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core Processor. Unfortunately, the phone runs on the outdated Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system which might be seen as a drawback by many.

In terms of memory, the phone packs 1GB of RAM and 2GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 32 GB with the microSD card. The dual SIM smartphone hosts 8 megapixel rear camera and 3 megapixel front facing camera. It packs 2400 mAh battery which claims 4.5 hours of talk time and two days of standby.

"Fortune HD is packed with exciting features and its high definition screen shall take you to the next level of viewing experience. The latest addition in the Fortune series on our 3rd anniversary strengths us further in the smartphone category," said Fortune HD, Deepak Gupta, Director, Josh Mobiles.

The smartphone will find competition from the handset makers like Zen, Karbonn, Micromax and Xolo. Although Josh smartphones are in the wish list of budget smartphone buyers, the presence of Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system could come as negative point.
