'Jilebi' Opens to Positive Reviews; What did Actor Jayasurya Write in his Letter to God?

As the name suggests, "Jilebi" is a sweet tale with a rustic flavour of Kerala's countryside. After the film opened to positive reviews on 31 July, actor Jayasurya took to his Facebook page to write a letter addressed to God.

In his letter, actor Jayasurya thanks the almighty as well as movie-goers for making his latest film a successful venture. The actor vouches that even a diabetic person can try this "homely Jilebi."

Earlier, the actor put another post on Facebook, saying the film will be a gift for children:

The Arun Sekhar directorial is a family entertainer with Ramya Nambeesan playing lead opposite Jayasurya. The movie tells the story of an innocent villager, Sreekuttan, who is obliged to take care of his nephew Paachu (Gaurav Menon) and niece Ammu (Baby Sayuri).

Several actors including KPAC Lalitha, Vijayaraghavan, Sasi Kalinga, Shari and Dharmajan also play pivotal roles in the film. 

The lyrics of "Jilebi" songs are written by East Coast Vijayan and Santhosh Varma, while the music is composed by Bijibal. The "Njanoru Malayali" song has already captured hearts of the audience.

The cinematography of the film is handled by Alby Antony, while editing is done by Sooraj ES. "Jilebi" is produced by East Coast Vijayan under the banner of East Coast.
