The trailer of Jiiva-Thulasi Nair's upcoming film "Yaan" has been released.
Looking at the trailer, one can expect "Yaan" to be an action flick laced with romance and drama. "Yaan is a perfect package of romance, action and drama," read a description about the trailer.
The trailer seems to have impressed Dhanush. "Yaan trailer is simply stylish .. Check it out guys," the actor tweeted. The video has fetched more than 17,000 hits in less than few hours and has received mostly positive comments from the viewers.
"Yaan" marks the directorial debut of ace cinematographer Ravi K Chandran. The film's shooting has been wrapped up and the post production work has commenced. Harris Jayaraj has composed the soundtracks for "Yaan." There are five songs in the album rendered by some popular singers like Unnikrishnan, Chinmayi, Bombay Jayashri, KK and Gana Bala among others. "Yaan" will be Thulasi's second film after her debut flick "Kadal," which hit screens last year. "Kadal," directed by Maniratnam, turned out to be a disaster at the box office. It needs to be seen how "Yaan" fares at the box office.
The action thriller will be Jiiva's first release of the year. His last film "Endrendrum Punnagai" fared well at the box office and the actor would be hoping to score a big hit with "Yaan."
The film also has Nassar, Prakash Raj, Karunakaran and Thambi Ramaiah in supporting roles.
"Yaan" has been shot in several foreign locations including Morocco and Switzerland. The film's cinematography is handled by Manush Nandan and editing is done by A. Sreekar Prasad. The Jiiva starrer is produced by Elred Kumar of R.S. Infotainment who has funded some interesting films including "Vinnaithandi Varuvaaya", "Ko" and "Yaamirukka Bayamey."
"Yaan" is expected to hit the screens this year, but an official announcement regarding the film's release date is still awaited.
