Jennifer Lawrence has received a lot of flak after sharing that she scratched her butt against a sacred rock. Appearing on The Graham Norton Show, the actress shared that while shooting for Hunger Games, she was rubbed her itching butt against a rock that was considered sacred stone by the Hawaiians.

Explaining the incident, she said, "There were sacred rocks — I dunno, they were ancestors, who knows — they were sacred. And you're not supposed to sit on them, because you're not supposed to expose your genitalia to them. I was in a wetsuit for this whole shoot – oh my god, they were so good for butt itching!"

Lawrence shared that she sat on the culturally sacred rocks despite the crew warned her not to. Ignore the crew's warning, Lawrence explained how she rubbed her butt on them to relieve an itch, leaving one rock loose and almost killing a sound production person as it rolled down the mountain.

"It was a huge dramatic deal and all the Hawaiians were like, 'Oh my God, it's the curse!'. And I'm in the corner, going, 'I'm your curse. I wedged it loose with my ass,'" she joked. Well, this incident did not go down well with viewers as they took to twitter to express their outrage.

Commenting on the candid interview, many twitterratis spoke against the The Silver Linings Playbook actress.

The rock that the actress is said to have rubbed her butt against is situated in Oahu, Hawaii, where the film Hunger Games: Catching Fire was shot. The actress wasn't specific as to where exactly these rocks were situated but it could be the lava rock.
