"Janda Pai Kapiraju" is a bilingual film, which was simultaneously made in Tamil as "Nimirndhu Nil" with Jayam Ravi in the lead role. Released in theatres on 8 March 2014, the Tamil version has got both critical and commercial success. It is a romantic action thriller, which has Samuthirakani's script and dialogues.

The movie is all about 26-year-old youth's fight against the corrupt system. Nani is an IT professional, who has been brought up in an ashram, where he has been taught high moral values and discipline. But when he comes out, his belief and learning will be questioned by the cancerous system. Along with his friends, how he takes on corrupt bureaucrats will form the crux of the story.

Nani has played a dual role in "Janda Pai Kapiraju" and he has done justice to both of them. His performance is the main highlight of the movie. Amala Paul, Soori, Nasser, Sarathkumar, Anil Murali, Subbu Panchu, Parvathy Nair, Vennela Kishore and Tanikella Bharani have done justice to their roles. Ragini Dwivedi's item dance is also a good asset for the film, according to the movie-goers.

"Janda Pai Kapiraju" has rich production elements. GV Prakash Kumar's music and background score, M Sukumar and M Jeevan's cinematography and SN Fazil's editing are the main highlights on the technical front.

Film critics have described "Janda Pai Kapiraju as a decent entertainer with a good message. The movie can be watched once. Here are the verdicts of film critics:

123 Telugu Rating: 3

Janda Pai Kapiraju is a film which Nani will be extremely proud of. He impresses us in two diverse roles and gives a commendable performance. Interesting social message, interval bang are basic assets. If you manage to sit through the lengthy and unnecessary commercial episodes, you might end up liking this hard hitting film.

AP Herald Ratings: 2

Everything about Nani's Jenda Pai Kapiraju is text book and conventional which makes the film a haul, and with the noble aims that drives the plot it winds up being too preachy and a bore. The message is jaded and dated, movie bears no shock value nor emotional connect and the film dweebs to a dead halt. Overall, JPK can be watched for the laudable performance by Nani, other than that nothing works in the favor of this film.

AP Today Ratings: 3

'Jenda Pai Kapiraju' is a social drama made with good intent. The First Half of the film hits the right chord, but the Second Half is spoiler and ends on a poor note. After a point, The Film becomes predictable, lack of logic in few crucial scenes and getting too preachy works against it. Unnecessary songs and poor VFX in action scenes were the other negative aspects.
