Janatha Garage collected Rs 102.35 crore gross at the worldwide box office in its opening week and became the fastest Rs 100 crore-grossing Telugu movie of the year. After witnessing over 80 percent decline in its business after that, the Junior NTR and Mohanlal-starrer collected approximately Rs 18.35 crore at the global box office in its second week, taking its 15-day gross total to Rs 120.70.
The Koratala Siva-directed action drama clashed with some small budget movies at the box office, which slowed down its collection further in its third week. When compared to its second weekend business, it showed over 50 percent drop in the third weekend. Allu Arjun's Sarrainodu collected Rs 127.60 crore at the global box office in its lifetime and is the highest-grossing Telugu film of 2016. The movie needs Rs 1.65 crore to surpass the benchmark set by Sarrainodu, and the film is expected to earn the amount on the weekdays and beat its record in three weeks.
