Junior NTR's Janatha Garage, which was released in theatres on 1 September, is still making good collection at the box office and it is gearing-up to complete a successful run of 50 days in 30 theatres.

Riding on huge hype and expectations, Janatha Garage was released on over 2000 screens across the globe and received superb response everywhere. The movie became the biggest opener of 2016 as well as Junior NTR. The movie garnered positive talk from the audience and the word of mouth helped the film remain strong at the ticket counters around the world in the following days.

In the following weeks, Janatha Garage clashed with some medium and small budget movies including Majnu, Hyper, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, Premam, Jaguar, Eedu Gold Ehe, Jyo Achyutananda and Nirmala Convent. These new releases forced out the movie from several cinema halls, but the Koratala Siva-directed film managed to have strong hold in certain centres.

Janatha Garage has collected approximately Rs 140 crore gross at the worldwide box office so far. The film has earned a share of Rs 86 crore for its global distributors, who shelled out Rs 67.40 crore on its theatrical rights. The movie has returned their investments with approximate profit share of Rs 18.6 crore.

Janatha Garage is an action film, which is made on budget of Rs 50 crore. Koratala Siva has written story and directed the movie, which has been produced by Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Shankar, and CV Mohan under their banner Mythri Movie Makers. Eros International reportedly acquired its global distribution rights and then sold them to the distributors of various areas.

Mohanlal, Junior NTR, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Nithya Menen have played the lead roles in Janatha Garage. Unni Mukundan, Saikumar, Devayani, Suresh, Rahman, Sithara, Ajay and Sachin Khedekar are in its supporting cast. Kajal Aggarwal has made a special appearance in the item song of the film.
