The Pune Warriors India (PWI) will take on the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at Subrata Roy Sahara Stadium, Pune on Tuesday. It will be the 42nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2013 and the second match for the teams this season.

Overview:

Tuesday's match will be interesting because it will be a fight between the highest and lowest ranked teams. CSK are currently topping the table while PWI are at the bottom but the latter had defeated the former by 24 runs in their earlier meeting this season.

PWI are at the floor of the table with just four points. They have won just two of the nine matches played so far. They will take on the CSK after conceding four consecutive defeats. However, they are a strong team with explosive batsmen who can turn a match on their day. They are a team that's capable of disappointing any opponent.

CSK are on a seven-match winning streak. They are currently placed at the top of the table with 14 points after winning seven of the nine matches played so far. They conceded only two defeats this season, and one of them was to PWI. So, they will be keen to take revenge on them when they take on each other on Tuesday.

Previous Meetings:

The teams have met five times in the past, and CSK have better record with three wins while PWI won two. PWI defeated CSK by 24 runs in their previous meeting this season.

Team News:

Pune Warriors India: Opener Aaron Finch is in good form this season. Other batsmen like Robin Uthappa, Yuvraj Singh, Steven Smith and Luke Wright have contributed well but have failed to turn good start to a big total. Ross Taylor, who was known for explosive shots, has been made to warm the bench due to poor form this season. The top order need to fire and give the team a good total on the board.

On the bowling front, they have Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ashok Dinda, Mitchell Marsh, Abhishek Nayar, Rahul Sharma and Ajantha Mendis. Dinda took three wickets in the previous match against Delhi Daredevils.

Chennai Super Kings: Top order of the team - Wriddhiman Saha (39), Michael Hussey (95), and Suresh Raina (44) laid a good foundation in the previous match against Kolkata Knight Riders, putting up 200 runs on the board. Skipper MS Dhoni is in good form this season, and they also have Suresh Raina and Dwayne Bravo in the side.

Dirk Nannes, Ankit Rajpoot, Chris Morris, Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo and Mohit Sharma form the batting line-up of the team. They took just three wickets in the previous match against Kolkata Knight Riders, almost allowed them to chase down their score of 200. They need to restrict the opponents from scoring at will.

Prediction:

PWI have home ground advantage but CSK are unstoppable at the moment. Dhoni's men are the favourite to win on Tuesday.
