It's going to be clash of the titans this September with Apple's first phablet dubbed as iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 expected to be released at around the same time. Both the companies have not uttered even a word on their respective products but every bit of information from the release date to features has been leaked to the media.

Apple is reportedly releasing two iPhone 6 models - 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch. The Cupertino giant is venturing into big screen devices for the first time and it will have to take on arch-rival Samsung's Note series. Galaxy Note 4 is expected to have 5.7-inch screen display, just a little bigger that Apple's bigger iPhone 6.

iPhone 6 is expected to have a scratch-free sapphire crystal glass screen. 9to5mac reported that the device would have a barometer with inclusion of updated CoreMotion APIs in Xcode 6 and iOS 8 hinting that it might have altitude measuring capabilities. The sensor will be helpful for hikers, mountain climbers and bike riders. 

The device is also expected to come with sensors that can detect pressure, temperature and humidity, according to Chinese analyst Sun Chang Xu. Apple Insider also reported citing analyst Ming-Chi Kuo that iPhone 6 may feature low temperature polysilicon in-cell touch panels, touch ID fingerprint security, NFC and metal casing.

On the othe hand, Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is expected to come with 3GB RAM, which is seen in its predecessor Galaxy Note 3. Samsung4Note website reported that the device would feature S-Pen stylus with updated gestures and air command. It is also reported that the device would come with a flexible display.

iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Release Dates

There are several conflicting reports on the release date of iPhone 6 but it is most likely to happen in September. German website, ApfelPage has claimed that leaked internal documents of German wireless carrier Deutsche Telekom have hinted that the iPhone 6 would be unveiled on 19 September. 

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is also expected to be unveiled in the month of September. According to Android Geeks, an insider revealed that the device would be unveiled on 3 September and the invitation to the unpacked event would be sent out in mid-August. The Korea Times also reported that Galaxy Note 3 successor would be unveiled at the the upcoming annual IFA trade fair in Berlin, Germany to be held between 5-10 September.
