Season 2 of "RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars" is returning to Logo TV on Thursday, Aug. 25, at 8 p.m. (EST) with huge queen-sized 90-minute episode. This time around, the seasoned drag queens will be dealt with more sickening plot twists than ever before, but most importantly, this time around "All Stars" will be simultaneously broadcast on VH1 along with Logo TV.
Alyssa Edwards, Coco Montrese, Tatianna, Roxxxy Andrews, Phi Phi O'Hara, Katya, Ginger Minj, Detox, Alaska and Adore Delano, all beloved queens from the last eight season, will sashay back on the main stage for another shot at becoming America's next drag superstar. However, it is not Ru who is going to offer that opportunity, but the queens themselves will have to choose who stays and who gets eliminated.
The top two queens of each week will "lip-sync for their legacy" and the winner will get to choose who goes home. "Honey, nobody can claim that this race is rigged," Ru said regarding the shocking new twist. "I gave the power to the people. May the best All Star win!"
One of the most popular queens who will be seen competing in this survivor-esque season of drag race is Alyssa Edwards. Check out what she told International Business Times, India, regarding the "RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars" 2.
International Business Times: What was your reaction when you heard you were invited to join "All Stars" 2?
Alyssa Edwards: As a seasoned drag competitor, I had only hoped for a RUdemption and opportunity like All Stars! I yelled at the tip top of my lungs in the Atlanta airport which rattled everyone and I immediately started preparing.... I'm in it to WIN it!
IBT: Who is your biggest competitor/who are you the biggest fan of in "All Stars" 2?
Alyssa: Competition is a state of mind. I teach children the idea of competing healthy within yourself and towards your competitors. I've learned staying focused mentally with a positive outlook and a strong sense of reality will get you to your desired goal in a competition. And a laugh and smile will add!
I'm huge fan of Adore [Delano] and I admire her work ethic and passionate approach.
IBT: What was your approach when doing the competition differently this time around?
Alyssa: Do it all
Do it to the max
Don't Dream It... Be It
