InFocus is betting big on India with a slew of smartphone launches.
On Tuesday, the US smartphone brand launched InFocus M530 and InFocus M350 smartphones in India exclusively via Snapdeal. Besides confusing model numbers, both offer a difficult choice to make.
So, here is a simple guide that compares the specs in both the smartphones to enable you to choose the right one for you.
But before we proceed, it is worth mentioning that M530 is the company's flagship model with higher-end specs compared to M350, which is positioned at the low-end segment. So the specs and pricing differ.
The InFocus M350 features a 5-inch HD display while the M530 comes with a bigger 5.5-inch screen. Both devices have Gorilla Glass 3 protection to withstand minor scratches.
We did not see any major difference in terms of quality as they have similar resolution. However, M350 comes with a compact screen while M530 falls under the phablet category.
InFocus is touting the camera on both phones as its major selling point. Packed with impressive sensors, InFocus M530 delivers higher image quality compared to the low-end model.
The handset packs 13-megapixel front and rear facing cameras, complete with dual colour flash and f/1.8 aperture for crispier and brighter pictures. Taking selfies with high-res camera just got easier.
As for the InFocus M350, the camera on both sides is fitted with 8MP BSI sensors with AF and flash and has f/2.2 aperture.
Both the phones pack different features. The M350 is powered by a 64 bit quad core processor clocking speeds at 1.5GHz while the higher-end InFocus M530 is powered by a 1.7GHz MediaTek MT6595 SoC.
RAM and Storage
Both smartphones have 2GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage with option to expand further up to 64GB using microSD card.
The InFocus M350 comes with a 2,500mAh non-removable battery whereas the bigger M530 variant packs a 3,100 removable battery. Clearly, the extra juice packed inside the M530 battery will give extra hours of talk time.
Buyers who are looking for affordability can go for the M350 that costs ₹7,999, while the higher-end M530 can be bought for ₹10,999. For the extra price, M530 offers a better camera, faster processor and a bigger battery. So, if you can do away with these three upgrades, M350 can be your choice.
