Ahead of the official unveiling of the face-lifted Honda Brio at the 2015 GIIAS (Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show), images of the India-bound vehicle has surfaced on the Internet. The spy pictures taken by Indonesian website Autonetmarz.com clearly shows the rear and side of the car. The vehicle seems to have undergone only minor cosmetic changes.

The face-lifted Brio retains its quirky rear styling. However, the glass area has been reduced at the bottom. A new body-coloured metal patch and a rear wiper with defogger has been added. A chrome embellishment below the boot lid and a spoiler completes the changes at the rear.

The side shot indicated no major changes for the profile. A set of newly-designed alloy wheels can also be spotted.

Inside, the two-tone dashboard has made its way to full-black dashboard and seats. A pair of electric assisted ORVMs and a new audio head unit is expected, depending upon the variants. The steering wheel also gets audio controls.

The car will continue with its four cylinder, 1.2-litre i-Vtec petrol engine. The engine is mated to 5-speed manual transmission while 5-speed automatic will also be on offer.

The new Brio is expected to be launched in India around early 2016 and it will be priced slightly north of the current range (Rs 4.21 lakh to 6.79 lakh, ex-showroom - Delhi).

Meanwhile, Autocar India report indicates Honda is already is working on the next generation Brio slated for 2017. The unique tailgate might be replaced with a conventional tailgate. A new body shell is also expected.
