The International Cricket Council (ICC) Champions Trophy 2013 has entered the knockout stage with the top two performers of Group A and Group B qualifying for the semi-finals set to start on Wednesday (19 June).

Sri Lanka on Monday beat two-time champions Australia by 20 runs to book a place in the semi-finals. They conceded a one-wicket defeat to New Zealand in their opener before bouncing back by beating England by seven wickets and packing off Australia in a thriller.

Match Schedule and Analysis:

Tournament host England, the winner of Group A, will take on Group B runner-up - South Africa - in the first semi-final. The match will be played at Kennington Oval, London on Wednesday.

England are topping the table with four points after winning against Australia by 48 runs and New Zealand by 10 runs. They conceded a seven-wicket defeat to Sri Lanka before sealing a place in the semi-final by beating New Zealand.

South Africa conceded defeat to India by 26 runs in the opener before beating Pakistan by 67 runs and the match against West Indies was tied.

Group B winner India will take on Group B runner-up Sri Lanka in the second semi-final to be played at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff on Thursday (20 June).

India are on top of Group B with six points after winning all the three matches played. They beat South Africa, West Indies and Pakistan enroute to the semi-final.

On the other hand, Sri Lanka conceded a one-wicket defeat to New Zealand in their first match before beating England and two-time champions Australia in the deciding match on Monday.
