On Friday, rumours started swirling around that Playboy founder Hugh Hefner was at death's door after a news report came out that he was down to 90 pounds.

"He looks like he is down to around 90 pounds and super sick," a source told Page Six. "His people are really trying to keep this under wraps. You even have to sign a confidentiality agreement to go up to see him," the insider added.

But it looks like there was no truth to this report, as Hefner himself took to Twitter to announce that he was fine. "I wish the tabloids had informed me a little earlier in the week that I'm sick. I might have cancelled my weekend plans," the 90-year-old tweeted.

A representative for Hefner also confirmed that he was doing fine and that he was involved in the day-to-day activities related to the magazine. "Hugh Hefner is fine," the representative was quoted as saying by HollywoodLife.

"It is no secret that over the past few years he has suffered with back pain that has made it a bit more challenging for him to get around. But at 90 years of age, he is enjoying his life and still very involved in the day-to-day activities of editing the magazine," the representative added.

Hefner is married to Crystal Harris, a 30-year-old British-American model. They got married on December 31, 2012, at the Playboy Mansion, which was sold in June for $100 million to Daren Metropoulos, who lives next door to the property. Hefner continues to live on the estate.
