Chinese handset maker Huawei's Ascend P1 is now up for pre-order in India on e-retailer website Flipkart with a price tag of ₹12,990.

The mid-range smartphone, Ascend P1 was first showcased at the CES in January 2012 along with Ascend P1 S.

According to the online retailer website, the phone is likely to come to India by the 3rd week of August. FoneArena was first to spot the device on Flipkart.

Huawei Ascend P1 sports a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD display with 960×540 pixels resolution and is powered by 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor. It runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich onboard. However, there is still no word about its official Jelly Bean upgrade. The device houses 1GB RAM and 4 GB internal memory that can be expanded up to 32 GB using micro SD card slot. The device comes with two cameras - an 8-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash and a 1.3-megapixel front facing camera.

On the connectivity front, the smartphone supports 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, Bluetooth v 3.0, GPS. Other features of the phone include 3.5mm audio jack, FM Radio and a 1670 mAh battery.
