Bollywood hunk Hrithik Roshan who has donned several on-screen characters, will get a rare opportunity to shoot Ravana's statue with a bow and arrow this Dussehra in New Delhi.

The actor will attend the festival that will be held at Luv Kush Ramlila Committee at the Red Fort ground (Lal Qila Maidan) on 3 October.

Quite excited about his new avatar, Roshan told IANS: "I will be there. I've never done it (shot the bow and arrow), but I know the history of it. Mazaa aayega (It will be fun) and I am sure I will enjoy it."

Dussehra, the Hindu festival signifies the victory of good over evil. It is believed that on this day, Lord Rama killed the king of demons, Ravana and rescued his abducted wife, Sita.

The 40-year-old, whose new film "Bang Bang" releasing on Dussehra (2 October), stated that he completely believes in the concept of this popular festival.

"Hrithik will use a bow and arrow to shoot at the effigy of Ravana. This will happen at 6 pm on Oct 3," Arjun Kumar, secretary of the Luv Kush Ramlila Committee, told IANS.

Further celebs like Govinda, Raveena Tandon and Chandrachur Singh will also attend the Ramlila celebrations.

Meanwhile, Roshan's "Bang Bang" that also stars Katrina Kaif has created tremendous buzz among the audience who are eagerly waiting for its release this week. The flick is an action thriller with several power-packed stunts.

Directed by Siddarth Anand, the film is the official remake of the Hollywood film, "Knight and Day" and also features Jaaved Jaffrey, Danny Denzongpa and Pavan Malhotra in pivotal roles.

After "Bang Bang", the "Krrish 3" actor will soon start working for Ashutosh Gowariker's mega project "Mohenjo Daro" that has newcomer Pooja Hegde in the lead. It is a period drama that dates back to the 26th century BC and is a love story set during the ancient Indus Valley Civilisation.
