After a lengthy teaser campaign, Japanese motorcycle manufacturer Honda unveiled the CBR250RR in Indonesia. The race-bred motorcycle has been inspired from the design of the Light Weight Super Sports Concept Honda unveiled at the 44th Tokyo Motor Show last October. The final product has retained the same sharp look with chiselled edges.

The CBR250RR comes with mean looking front, muscular front fender, chiselled fuel tank, and ventilated disc brakes for both the wheels. The motorcycle is powered by parallel-twin liquid cooled, 249.7cc engine with fuel injection mated to six-speed transmission. The motorcycle also boasts Throttle-By-Wire System with Accelerator Position Sensor

Based on the Truss frame, the motorcycle features inverted telescopic front suspension at front and aluminum swing arm at rear. The motorcycle measures 2,060mm in length, 724mm in width and has a height of 1,098mm. It features a wheelbase of 1,389mm, ground clearance of 145mm and a seat height of 790mm. The CBR250RR sports a 14.5L fuel tank. The motorcycle will be sold in Honda racing red, Anchor graymetalic and Mat gunpowder blackmettalic shades.

For the uninitiated, the CBR250RR is the track bred version of the regular CBR25R which is on sale in India. Hence, the motorcycle will command premium pricing. When launched in India, the Honda CBR250RR will be pitted against the Kawasaki Ninja 300, KTM RC390 and the recently launched Yamaha YZF-R3.
