Under the bonnet, the new Amaze is likely to pack the same 1,198cc i-VTEC petrol and a1,498cc i-DTEC diesel engines. The four-cylinder 1,198cc i-VTEC petrol develops 86.7bhp at 6,000rpm and 109Nm of torque at 4,500rpm available with five-speed manual and automatic transmission options. The four-cylinder 1,498cc i-DTEC diesel engine develops 99bhp at 3,600rpm and 200Nm of torque at 1,750rpm mated to five-speed manual transmission.
