While director Siddharth Anand is now ready to make a Hindi remake of Hollywood star Sylvester Stallone's "Rambo", fans are curious to know which Bollywood actor will portray the hardcore action oriented character.
Although Hrithik Roshan is always a tough contender for the role, considering the success of "Bang Bang" (which was an official remake of Tom Cruise-starrer "Knight and Day"), the filmmaker is yet to make a final call on the lead cast of the "Rambo" remake. Moreover, while confirming the news, Siddharth said that he might consider a new actor too for the role.
"Hrithik is always on top of my mind but I haven't finalised anyone as yet. It can be a new actor as well," Siddharth told the The Times of India. Siddharth added that it will be a trilogy and he has the official rights to make the remake since two years.
Apart from Hrithik, there are a number of other Bollywood action heroes who apparently can pull off the role of "Rambo", like Arjun Rampal and John Abraham. However, the director said that he might consider a new actor as India's own "Rambo". Hence, we have compiled a list of five new Bollywood actors who apparently are capable of doing justice to the role played by Sylvester Stallone in the popular series.
First in the list comes Vidyut Jamwal for some obvious reasons. This handsome hunk was seen in the movie "Commando" and the actor impressed all with his action skills. Moreover, the role he played in "Commando" has certain similarities with "Rambo" as he was seen fighting inside a jungle. Second comes Tiger Shroff, who made his debut in "Heropanti". He is known for his toned body and action stunts, which are a must for the role of "Rambo".
Sidharth Malhotra also has good features that make him suitable for the role. The actor was seen donning an action avatar in "Brothers". Ranveer Singh, who is currently enjoying all the limelight for his performance in "Bajirao Mastani", was seen in action roles a couple of times as well. The actor has a well-built body and can be a potent option for the role of "Rambo".
Another versatile actor, who has impressed his fans in varied roles, is Varun Dhawan. Although, Varun was initially thought to be a chocolate boy hero, the actor surprised everyone with his performance in a dark character in "Badlapur". Moreover, he too has a good physique. Last but not the least, Arjun Kapoor can also fit in the role of "Rambo" as he was seen having a tough look in the movie "Gunday".
