Nivin Pauly's journey from an electronics and communication engineer to an Infosys employee in Bangalore, to a leading actor in Malayalam cinema proves that true passion helps us to achieve our dreams.

With his acting debut as Prakashan in Vineeth Sreenivasan's debut directorial venture "Malarvadi Arts Club" in 2010, Nivin gradually became a household name and went on to act in many blockbuster films.

The 31-year-old actor has now become the youth icon of Malayalam films and is basking in the success of the latest film "Premam", which has completed more than 125 days theatrical run.

From his usual character and chocolate hero avatars, the actor is now all set to enthral his fans in the upcoming film "Action Hero Biju", in which he will be seen as a police officer for the first time.

Married to his long time girlfriend Rinna Joy, Nivin has an adorable 3-year-old son Daveed Pauly aka Dhadha.

"Thattathin Marayathu" 

It was a breakthrough film for Nivin, who rose to fame as a romantic hero with his performance as Vinod in Vineeth's second directorial "Thattathin Marayathu", which tells the story of a Hindu boy Vinod Nair falling in love with a Muslim girl Aisha (Isha Talwar). The film was declared a blockbuster and reportedly collected Rs 18.9 crore at the box office.

"Neram"

"Neram", which saw the amazing chemistry of Nivin and Nazriya Nazim, is one of the notable films in the actor's career. The Alphonse Puthren directorial made on a budget of Rs 1.5 crore also became a commercial hit at the box-office and collected Rs 18 crore from its two versions.

"1983"

Nivin won a lot of accolades, including the 2014 Kerala State Film Awards Best Actor, for his character Rameshan in Abrid Shine's "1983". The film narrates the story of a person who is passionate about cricket; it was also a box office hit in Kerala.

"Ohm Shanthi Oshaana"

Jude Anthony Joseph's debut film "Ohm Shanthi Oshaana" was a female oriented project, but Nivin's chemistry with Nazriya made the film one of the biggest hits of 2014. The film collected about Rs 10.3 crore at the box office.

"Bangalore Days"

Made on a budget of Rs 9 crore, the multi starrer "Bangalore Days", directed by Anjali Menon, turned out to be a lucky film for all the actors as it collected almost Rs 49.5 crore worldwide. Nivin's performance as Kuttan was well appreciated by viewers.

"Premam"

The three phases of Nivin in Alphonse Puthren's "Premam" helped him to become one of the top earning actors of Malayalam films. Made on a budget of Rs 4 crore, "Premam" broke many existing records at the Kerala box office by collecting more than Rs 63 crore.
