Katy Perry's real name is Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson. When she rose to fame in 2008, she changed it to Katy Perry to avoid being confused with the actress named Kate Hudson.
2. She belongs to a religious family
Though Perry's songs are often rebellious and emphasise controversial and sensitive subjects, her parents were very religious people and considered the derogatory topics blasphemy. They were rigid in their belief system so much that Perry and her two siblings were not even allowed to read "Harry Potter" or watch "The Smurfs."
3. She has a collection of other celebs' hair
Cinema Blend reported that Katy Perry loves to collect the hair of other celebrities that she keeps in her collection.
