Director AS Ravikumar Chowdhary's "Soukhyam" (Soukyam), featuring actor Gopichand and actress Regina Cassandra in the lead roles, is gearing up for a grand release around the world on 24 December.

Story: "Soukhyam" is a romantic and family entertainer film and Sridhar Seepana has written the story and screenplay for it. The movie is about an easy going guy, who always makes sure that he and his closed ones are at ease. He never gets diverted, when he takes up a work. He is surrounded by obstacles, when he falls in love with a girl. How he overcomes them will form the rest of the story.

The outline story of "Soukhyam" appears to be routine and predictable, but its team claims that the film will impress the audience. Gopichand says the movie has nice twists, entertainment blocks,  and engrossing narration. Director Ravi says it has 80% entertainment and 20% action.

Cast and Crew: Gopichand is playing the happy-go-lucky boy, while Regina Cassandra appears as his love interest in "Soukhyam". Brahmanandam, Posani Krishna Murali, Raghubabu, Shavukaru Janaki and Saptagiri are seen in the important roles. V Anand Prasad has produced the movie under the banner Bhavya Creations. Anup Rubens has composed music for its soundtracks and background score.

Budget and publicity: "Soukhyam" has been made with a medium budget of around Rs 15 crore and the makers have shelled out a hefty sum on the promotion of the film. Its promos like posters, teasers, trailers and songs have garnered enough attention for the movie.

Release and advance booking: "Soukhyam" is releasing in over 400 screens in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and around 300 screens in other parts of the globe. It is slated to hit more than 700 screens around the world this Thursday. But it has got an average amount of advance booking for its opening day.

Box office prediction: "Soukhyam" is the solo release on this Thursday and it is expected do well at the box office on the first day. The movie is likely to become the biggest opener for Gopichand, beating the records of his previous releases. But the film may fail to continue its rocking run on the following days.

From its second day, "Soukhyam" will clash with equally hyped films "Mama Manchu Alludu Kanchu", "Bhale Manchi Roju" and "Jata Kalisey", which will hit the screens on 25 December. The movie may end up an average to good grosser film in Gopichand's career, but can not be highest grosser for him.
