With "Grey's Anatomy" alum Jeffrey Dean Morgan joining the cast list of "The Good Wife" in season 7, fans are curiously waiting to watch the onscreen chemistry between the actor and the lead female character Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies).

In the finale of the last sequel, the protagonist was standing at a crossroads, confused about her career path. But when the legal drama returns on CBS, viewers will see her back in the lawyer's chair with a strong determination to prove her ability to the world.

Margulies' character will have new staff members and clients joining her in her journey for justice in the seventh season of the legal drama. While veteran actress Amy Irving, British celeb Cush Jumbo and "Supernatural" alum Morgan are confirmed to appear in the show, there is a buzz that Elsbeth Tascioni and Bridget Regan will also join the cast list.

Irving will be playing the role of an iconic photographer who seeks legal support to protect some of her popular photos. The character is described as a strong, "bohemian-looking woman", according to Entertainment Weekly.

Meanwhile, Morgan will be portraying the role of a lawyer turned investigator. Explaining about his character, the celeb said: "He's an investigator that goes to work for Alicia. Beyond that, it's a little bit of a mystery. I've only read the first script."

"I can tell you that he's an ex-lawyer who got into some trouble and finds himself now being an investigator. He's got a laid-back personality and a quick wit. I like that kind of dynamic. And I think it will be a nice dynamic for Julianna to play off of," he told TV Line.

"The Good Wife" fans may also see Tascioni as the protagonist's new partner and Regan as her client in season 7 of the CBS legal drama when it returns on Sunday, 4 October, at 9pm.
