After the death of Will Gardner (Josh Charles) in "The Good Wife" season 5, fans can prepare for the exit of another major character -- Kalinda Sharma (Archie Panjabi) -- in season 6 finale titled "Wanna Partner?"

While the lawyer's exit came as a shock to everyone, the detective's departure was announced last October. But the viewers are curious to know how Panjabi is planning to make an exit from the series since showrunners Robert and Michelle King have already made it clear that they are not planning a death sequence in season 6.

Although the official synopsis does not have any details about the character's role in episode 22, creators teased about a courtroom sequence. "There is a lot of courtroom conflict in the next two episodes. We like the courtroom. We miss the courtroom. And we think Alicia does too," they said.

They even stated that the detective's exit will be "devastating to Cary" and the firm as they "will realise how much they depended on her."

Explaining further, the showrunners revealed that the sequel will focus on something going on in Chicago currently. "News reports have discovered what has been called a Chicago "black site"—a place where suspects are held captive and questioned without access to attorneys or family. It's called Homan Square," they said.

Meanwhile, they also talked about the various challenges faced by Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) in the legal drama. "Alicia has to deal with it in this episode while also dealing with the return of Charles Lester (Wallace Shawn) who is intent on finding Kalinda. We think viewers will like it."

According to the description of "Wanna Partner?", when the protagonist gets a suspicious call from a client, she discovers that he's being held in a secret police facility where people are detained without being officially booked. In the meantime, her professional future hangs in the balance as she decides what's next for her career.

So fans of CBS legal drama can mark their calendars to watch a lot of surprises in the finale on Sunday, 10 May, at 9pm. Until then they can enjoy episode 21, titled "Don't Fail" at 9 pm this Sunday, 3 May, which will be live-streamed here.
