While the fans of George RR Martin eagerly await his next book "The Winds of Winter", the publisher has confirmed that it wouldn't be released any time soon.

While replying to one of her Twitter followers, UK publisher Jane Johnson stated that the sixth installment of "A Song of Fire and Ice" series is not in the publishing list for 2015.

"It's not in our 2015 publishing schedule as it stands -- I know no more than that at the moment," she tweeted.

Many of Martin fans were disappointed with the news and expressed their frustration over it in the comment section. The tweets ranged from, "Literally can't believe this. Guess I am just going to have to push this well out of my mind for this year," to, "It breaks me like i've only been waiting a year or so atm? But good LORD this is horrible" (sic).

Earlier, there were several speculations about the release of "The Winds of Winter" during Christmas, but Martin slammed the rumours through his blog "Not A Blog". He also informed his followers that he will share the news with them on the blog without "any clues to decipher, any codes or hidden meanings".

Meanwhile, several theories are doing the rounds that the mysterious man, Lord Petyr Baelish, who is also known as Littlefinger, is rumoured to be an ally of Aegon in Martin's next book.

Another speculation of the book is about Tyrion Lannister's death. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the author had teased about the character.
