Fourth of July is a federal holiday in the United States to celebrate the country's Independence Day. On 4 July 1776, the Founding Fathers of the US signed the Declaration of Independence that freed the country from Great Britain.

The Declaration of Independence was published after it was signed by 56 representatives of the 13 American colonies.

Thomas Jefferson, along with Benjamin Franklin, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, Roger Sherman and Robert Livingston, drafted the final copy of the Declaration of Independence.
